Before you start grabbing those probiotic pills, it’s super important to first understand how your gut works—and how it’s connected to your skin.
Gut issues are incredible common in people dealing with skin problems—and they’re often a major culprit behind nutrient deficiencies which can affect how well the skin heals.
If you want clear skin, your gut needs to be running smoothly. This is especially true if you deal with things like IBS, bloating, or food intolerances. Getting your gut health in check can make a world of difference for your skin.

Healthy Fats – For Healthy, Balanced Skin

Reducing Sugar to Help Skin Heal
You’ve probably already heard that cutting back on sugar can help your skin, but just in case you didn’t know, too much sugar can mess with your skin’s healing, your gut microbiome, and your hormones.
But don’t worry, you don’t have to cut sugar out completely (because, I’m sure life would be miserable without any dessert). We’ve timed this for Week 4 so that you’ve already packed your diet with all the good stuff, which will actually to naturally reduce those sugar cravings!
I’ll be walking you through why we crave sugar, why it’s so hard to stop eating it, and how to make healthier swaps and better choices—plus, we’ll cover just how much sugar is recommended per day.

This course is designed to give you the food foundations you need for healthy skin. While you can ask questions in the community group and live sessions, I won’t be able to provide personalised recommendations. If, after completing the course, you’d like to go deeper with testing and tailored advice, my Healthy Skin From Within is the next step.
Will you recommend supplements and give skincare advice?
No, because supplement and skincare recommendations need to be personalised to your individual needs. This course is fully food-focused, helping you build strong nutritional foundations. If you’d like personalised advice on supplements you can book a 1:1 session via my Healthy Skin From Within Packages. That way you’ll know what you’re taking is addressing the correct things, and is safe for you to take.
Are you saying my skin will clear completely after this?
This isn’t a quick fix, and I’d never promise anyone perfectly clear skin—but what it will do is give you the knowledge and tools to start healing your skin from the inside out. You’ll finish the course knowing exactly what changes to make, so you feel in control instead of overwhelmed. And never underestimate how powerful the basics can be.
What happens if I miss a session?
No worries! All sessions will be recorded and sent to you, so you can catch up in your own time. Although, I do recommend trying to get to the live sessions if you can, that way you can ask questions in real time.
How much time do I need to commit to this?
The live sessions are around an hour each week, and the action steps are small, simple and easy to fit into your routine. You won’t need to spend hours meal prepping or completely overhauling your diet—this course is designed to work with your life, even when things get busy.
Does this work for all skin conditions?
Yes! While testing can provide deeper insights into your personal imbalances, the foundations we cover—like blood sugar balance, gut health, and key nutrients—are essential for all skin conditions. This course is the first step towards long-term skin health. If you need more in-depth support after the course, 1:1 sessions are available.
I already eat well—do I need this?
If you’re eating a healthy diet but still breaking out, there could be deeper imbalances at play. This course will help you refine your approach and identify any key areas you might be missing. But, if you’ve already got the basics down but still struggle with your skin, testing and 1:1 support may be the better next step for you.
Do I have to cut out certain foods?
No! This isn’t about restriction—it’s about adding in the right foods to support your skin. You don’t have to give up your favourite meals, just learn how to make small tweaks that make a big difference.
Nutritional Therapist at your service
Hey, I’m Emilia!
I’m a qualified Nutritional Therapist, having studied Naturopathic Nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and Functional Medicine at The Institute For Functional Medicine.
After completing my nutrition training, I wanted to learn more about the skin barrier and topical treatments, which led me to study to become a qualified Level 3 Skin Specialist. I also helped to deliver the NHS Healthier You Programme, which helps people who have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes get their blood glucose back into a healthy range through diet and lifestyle changes.
I’m a registered practitioner with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and the Institute For Functional Medicine (IFM).
I’m also a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT), which means even though I’ve “finished” my academic studies, I’m required to complete a minimum of 30 hours every year building on my nutritional knowledge so that I’m always giving the most up-to-date, research-backed recommendations for you.
